Cogent (adj) appealing forcibly to the mind or reason; convincing.
Cogent politics
Often deceive, rarely fool.
Now, we all see you.

Contrite (adj) regretful; penitent; seeking forgiveness.
A wayward priest falls
Contrite at his Christ god’s feet.
How far he’s wandered.

Dearth (verb) smallness of quantity or number; scarcity; a lack.
Where ignorance reigns
Like a germ multiplying:
A dearth of wisdom.
