Quiescence (noun) stillness; motionlessness; quality of being at rest.

Quiescence seemed out of reach.
No rest could be found.

Redoubtable (adj) awe-inspiring; worthy of honor.
He who does not strive
To become redoubtable
Shall be forgotten.

Torpid (adj) lethargic; sluggish; dormant.
Under such sorrow
I grow torpid. Unwilling
To awake come dawn.

Hopefully by Tuesday I’ll put up some poems that are not studying haikus. I did go to a reading last week and I do have recording of the poems I read and 2/3 of them have already been published at Eternal Haunted Summer…I’ve just been rather neglectful of actually putting them up. Be it because I don’t feel super about the reading or because I’m somewhat burnt out on poetry or because I’ve been having some crazy stress around getting ready to quit my job, move, and start a new job… Regardless, I’m really behind posting those poems and I’m quite sure those of you who follow this blog would be delighted to see something that isn’t vocabulary based haikus.
